We know health can be a handful. So we’ve custom built our wellness hubs with only one goal in mind - to make every Tasmanian’s health journey a little easier.
We host a range of sessions, events, and activities for both our members and the community to attend. We also work with like-minded Tasmanian organisations to deliver programs. If you are interested in working with us in our space, get in touch at events@stlukes.com.au.

Pop-up Hearing Clinic
Rediscover the sounds you love with a quick free 15-minute hearing check* with Hearing Australia’s friendly team. At our hearing checks we guide you through maintaining good hearing health and provide information on how to manage common hearing issues. Take the first step to start your journey towards better hearing.
To secure a hearing check, walk into our wellness hub from 9am on the day to make a booking with our team.
*Only 15 minute hearing checks are free. Other services may attract charges/fees or may be subsided for those eligible under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, to which conditions apply. A hearing check is a screening that helps identify people that may have hearing loss.
Dr Rebecca Chabot - Habit Hacking
Our subconscious mind influences most of our decisions, choices, and thoughts. It regulates at least 95% of the choices that we make each day including our habits. Rebecca discusses the latest research around habit formation and reduction, and how real-life changes come from taking many small steps to alter your habits.
She will give practical advice and tips on how to tap into the subconscious mind to create good new habits and break bad ones.

Open House Hobart - St Lukes wellness hub
Open House Hobart will be providing the community an opportunity to view our Hobart wellness hub through an architectural lens.
We will be opening up the ground level of our wellness hub to showcase the design elements of the space, including the sassafras timber feature that represents being inside a giant, hollow tree.
FootSmart presented by Diabetes Tasmania
Living with diabetes means living with an increased risk of foot problems. FootSmart gives you the skills and knowledge to create a care routine that will help avoid future foot problems. It’s estimated that 15% of people with diabetes will develop a foot ulcer in their lifetime, this is why good foot care is so important.
This session is suitable for people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

MedSmart presented by Diabetes Tasmania
Making sense of your medications can be difficult but it doesn’t have to be. MedSmart will give you information about your medications, how they work, how to take them and how they help manage your diabetes. By the end of this program, you will have the confidence to self-manage your medications.

Baby and Child First Aid Information Session
A two and half hour First Aid Information Session for parents and carers of babies and young children.
During the session you will learn information on children's health, first aid, and safety in a warm and friendly environment, including areas such as Burns, Choking, Seizures, CPR & Resuscitation.
Sally's Ride 2024 - An evening with Richie Porte & Friends
Be part of Sally's Ride and raise funds for local projects working on improving the mental health of the Tasmanian community.
Sally's Ride started in 2002 when Sally Fletcher rode 1,400km solo around Tasmania, raising funds for mental health in Tasmania. In 2009, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Central Launceston, the event was expanded to include different cycling opportunities for riders of all fitness levels and abilities.
100% of registration fees collected will be directed to organisations passionate about supporting positive mental health in our community.

Lifeline Tasmania - Mental Health First Aid Refresher
Mental Health First Aid offers 4-hour face-to-face Refresher Courses that allow current Standard or Youth Accredited MHFAiders to refresh their knowledge and skills and extend their accreditation for another 3-year period.
Refresher courses must be completed between the 2.6 and 3.3-year mark.
The content of each refresher course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

Mental Health First Aid
1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year.
The Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to provide initial support to someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Please note this course is not a therapy or support group, it’s an education course to learn how to give first aid to others.
