We know health can be a handful. So we’ve custom built our wellness hubs with only one goal in mind - to make every Tasmanian’s health journey a little easier.
We host a range of sessions, events, and activities for both our members and the community to attend. We also work with like-minded Tasmanian organisations to deliver programs. If you are interested in working with us in our space, get in touch at events@stlukes.com.au.

Our yoga sessions focus on improving your flexibility and mobility, balance and co-ordination.
Join our experienced and friendly instructors for classes designed for all bodies and levels of experience.
Mat Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving flexibility and enhancing overall body alignment. It involves performing a series of controlled movements on a mat, using body weight as a resistance. The exercises target specific muscle groups including the abdominals, back, hips, and glutes.
Strength For Life now has extra sessions per week* so more of Hobart can gain access this popular class.
Strength for Life aims to improve the health and vitality of older adults through exercise and community.
Weekly sessions are run by an accredited exercise physiologist and involve a combination of strength and balance exercises to help improve physical fitness and mobility for a better quality of life.
All fitness levels are welcome! Please wear comfortable clothing and a drink bottle.

Beginners Yoga focuses on improving flexibility and mobility, balance and coordination.
The class encourages everyone to take their time to experience each individual pose and to move at their own pace. Props will be provided to support joints and areas of tension.
This is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioner with instructors from Udara.
Wanting to try or get back into Zumba? Join Zumba instructor Rhonda with 13 years teaching experience as she guides you through the steps during an 8-week course. You'll laugh, dance, and make friends at this energising dance cardio session where the music takes you around the world! Bring a water bottle and wear some comfortable clothing.
Improve your range of motion, reduce muscle tightness, and avoid injury - Stretch is for anyone who wants to improve agility and stay flexible!

Perimenopause & Menopause: What’s Really Happening in Your Body?
As part of Women's Health Week 2025 the Women's Health Education Network are talking about all things pelvic - This session breaks down what’s really happening during perimenopause and menopause, how it affects your body, what’s changing, why it can be misunderstood, and what you can actually do about it. We’ll cover hormones, symptoms, movement, treatment options, and pelvic health in plain English, shaped by research and real-life experience. It’s about understanding your body, not fixing it - and knowing you’re not the only one.
Mindfulness Meditation with Dr Bruno Cayoun
Join Dr. Bruno Cayoun for a 45-minute mindfulness meditation to enhance presence, emotional balance, and compassion through mindfulness of breath, body sensations and loving-kindness meditation. Dr. Cayoun is an experienced psychologist who has been teaching mindfulness meditation in clinical practice for the past 24 years to support wellbeing and personal growth.
Chairs and yoga mats are provided but bring your own cushions if needed.

SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY Mental Health First Aid REFRESHER
1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year.
The Mental Health First Aid course REFRESHER will teach you how to provide initial support to someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Participants MUST have completed a 2-day Standard MHFA course within the last 3 years to be eligible to do this refresher.
Please note this course is not a therapy or support group, it’s an education course to learn how to give first aid to others.

Hearing Australia: Free 15 minute Health Checks
Rediscover the sounds you love with a quick free 15-minute hearing check* with Hearing Australia’s friendly team. At the hearing check, Hearing Australia staff will guide you through maintaining good hearing health and provide information on how to manage common hearing issues. Take the first step to start your journey towards better hearing.
Walk in and make your booking on the day in our wellness hub from 9:00am. To secure a hearing check, you must book with our team on the day.
* Only 15-minute hearing checks are free. Other services may attract charges/fees or may be subsidised for those eligible under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, to which conditions apply. A hearing check is a screening that helps identify people that may have hearing loss.
The Shepherd Centre – Pop Up Information Table
Come and learn about The Shepherd Centre and the services they provide, grab some resources and chat with the team. Programs and services include early intervention support for children who are Deaf or hard of hearing and their families, audiology, family counselling, and spoken language therapists.
The team from Hearing Australia will also be at our wellness hub offering free hearing checks if you’d like to book in while you’re visiting!

Baby and Child First Aid
A first aid information session for parents and carers of babies and young children. During the session you will learn information on children's health, first aid, and safety in a warm and friendly environment.
PaKT Craft school holiday program
Join Home Base for their Kids Together (PaKT) Art-Based Program. This workshop is for kids and an adult carer to work together on a fun craft project. Create a 3D dream house, tropical island, shop, tree house, animal or more. No art skills necessary, just come along and have some fun together! All materials will be provided.
Recipe Book Exchange and Seed Library pop-up
Celebrate Seniors Week at our wellness hubs! This year’s theme is Connecting Generations Through Food, so throughout October swap your old cookbooks for a fresh new favourite or pick up a packet of seeds to kickstart your veggie garden.
If you're taking part in the seed swap, please label your envelopes with the common name, variety name, and year harvested.

1000 Hearts is a social enterprise which encourages kindness through action. Their global community makes eco-friendly felt pocket hearts which are created and gifted in random acts of kindness.

Beyond Sound: The Music in All of Us by Shepherd Centre
Come join the fun and feel the beat! In this playful, music-filled space, children aged 0–5 explore sound through rhythm, movement, and melody—building confidence, connection, and joy. Whether tapping a drum, humming a tune, or simply soaking it all in, every moment brings them closer to the music inside. This inclusive event welcomes all abilities and features an Auslan interpreter.
9D & AAT Breathwork "9DMT cellular regeneration" Journey (regulation only)

20 MADE Moments – Opening Night Cocktail Party - Art Exhibition
Mature Artists Dance Experience (MADE) celebrates 20 years with a 3-day Art Exhibition, opening with a Cocktail Party. Join Graeme Murphy AO & Janet Vernon AM to unveil Tasmanian Artist John Paton’s beautiful watercolour paintings; capturing moments of connection and joy created when mature bodies dance. MADE dancers will bring these moments to life with a short pop-up performance. All funds raised from ticket and art sales will help MADE dance into the future.
20 MADE Moments – Art Exhibition & Pop-Up Dance Performance
Mature Artists Dance Experience (MADE) Tasmania celebrates 20 years of challenging aging stereotypes through movement and creativity with an exhibition by Tasmanian artist, John Paton. Moments of joy, strength and connection are captured in beautiful watercolour, all proceeds from painting sales supporting MADE. Visit this exhibition our Hobart wellness hub and catch real-life MADE dancers in a short performance at 12:00pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Mature Artists Dance Experience classes
