: A waiting period is the length of time you must wait before you become eligible for benefits in your private Health Insurance policy. Waiting periods apply to new members and to members rejoining after a lapse in cover. Waiting periods may also apply to additional benefits when you change your level of cover. : You can switch health insurers at any time! By switching to St Luke now, you can enjoy several member benefits and be covered by a local, not-for-profit health insurer.
: When switching from another health insurer, your original age at joining Hospital cover with your previous insurer will be taken into consideration for the calculation of any premium loading payable under Lifetime Health Cover.
: When switching to St Lukes, We will do all the paperwork for you and we’re happy to have that awkward ‘it’s-not-me-it’s-you’ conversation with your previous insurer. You don’t need to contact them to cancel, we will do it for you!
: St Lukes offers a 30-day cooling off period. This means if you change your mind in the first 30 days after joining, and haven’t made a claim for benefits on the new policy, you can request a refund of any contributions you have paid.
