We know health can be a handful. So we’ve custom built our wellness hubs with only one goal in mind - to make every Tasmanian’s health journey a little easier.
We host a range of sessions, events, and activities for both our members and the community to attend. We also work with like-minded Tasmanian organisations to deliver programs. If you are interested in working with us in our space, get in touch at events@stlukes.com.au.

Our yoga sessions focus on improving your flexibility and mobility, balance and co-ordination.
Join our experienced and friendly instructors for classes designed for all bodies and levels of experience.
Mat Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving flexibility and enhancing overall body alignment. It involves performing a series of controlled movements on a mat, using body weight as a resistance. The exercises target specific muscle groups including the abdominals, back, hips, and glutes.
Strength For Life now has extra sessions per week* so more of Hobart can gain access this popular class.
Strength for Life aims to improve the health and vitality of older adults through exercise and community.
Weekly sessions are run by an accredited exercise physiologist and involve a combination of strength and balance exercises to help improve physical fitness and mobility for a better quality of life.
All fitness levels are welcome! Please wear comfortable clothing and a drink bottle.
*Only 1 class per person per week.
Beginners Yoga focuses on improving flexibility and mobility, balance and coordination.
The class encourages everyone to take their time to experience each individual pose and to move at their own pace. Props will be provided to support joints and areas of tension.
This is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioner with instructors from Udara.
Join Fabrice Bisimwa in a dance cardio session which will burn more calories than running on the treadmill!
No experience needed so it's perfect for beginner dancers.
The program includes dance workouts and moves that tone your legs, glutes and provide a full ab/core burnout.

Join us for a 30 minute heart-pumping Boxing HIIT session which will cover every single muscle from your inner core to your obliques!
This fast-paced workout includes ab and core work, mobility, stretch, and HIIT exercises like squats, lunges and jumping jacks, in between intervals of shadowboxing, and it is ideal for those with a moderate to high fitness level looking to improve overall aerobic fitness and increased core strength.

Recharging Your Batteries : Winter Workshop
Join life coach Megan Woods for this fun and interactive workshop designed to recharge your batteries this winter.
This workshop will introduce you to the seven types of energy / ‘batteries’ we use to function and explore how shorter days, winter weather and more time indoors draws on different types of energy. Develop new strategies for the winter months ahead to recharge (and even supercharge) your batteries.
Emotional Regulation by Relationships Australia
This workshop helps individuals learn how to regulate emotions whilst learning about how to manage triggers, anger and anxiety.

During the session you will learn information on children's health, first aid, and safety in a warm and friendly environment.
Lifelong Respect - Walk Against Elder Abuse
Join COTA Tasmania for a walk to raise awareness against elder abuse as part of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. By participating, you'll help spread awareness about this critical issue and show your support for elder abuse prevention.
Following the walk, participants will gather at our Hobart wellness hub for a light morning tea and short speeches.
The walk is organised by COTA Tasmania, supported by the Tasmanian Government and local councils, in alignment with Tasmania’s Lifelong Respect strategy (2023-2029).
Lifeline Tasmania - Suicide Conversation Skills
This short workshop is designed to provide everyone with the language skills to talk safely about suicide.
Using the Recognise, Respond, and Refer Lifeline framework to structure the workshop, we explore guiding a conversation from beginning to end. Starting with understanding why someone may consider suicide, preparing yourself mentally, ways to begin the conversation, right through to asking if they are considering suicide, suggesting referral pathways, and taking care of yourself once the conversation is over.
Out with the overwhelm - transitions made easy by Harrington Road
When life takes a turn and a transition is needed, often we're forced into crisis and overwhelm. This interactive workshop offers older adults, and their families, insights to navigate property transitions for downsizing, aged care transitions and deceased estates with greater confidence and awareness. We'll tackle these topics in a light-hearted manner, sharing some of the key concepts and offering practical tips through engaging activities, discussion and a cuppa to finish with.
Cancer Council Tasmania Qigong Classes
Restorative Qigong is a gentle form of exercise that combines relaxation, posture, slow breathing, meditation and movement into one art.

Join Dr. Bruno Cayoun for a 45-minute mindfulness meditation to enhance presence, emotional balance, and compassion through mindfulness of breath, body sensations and loving-kindness meditation. Dr. Cayoun is an experienced psychologist who has been teaching mindfulness meditation in clinical practice for the past 24 years to support wellbeing and personal growth.

Love Languages – Workshop with Megan Woods
Sometimes, feeling more connected to others needs comes down to using the right love language. Love languages are ways we prefer to show affection and care. Join life coach Megan Woods to explore the different types of love languages, and how you can use them to deepen your relationships with partners, friends and family.
Make Music with the TSO!
Do you love making music with friends? Maybe you just love a good old sing in the shower? Join the Learning team from the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for an hour of interactive games and activities that will have you singing, listening and making music. No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to participate in this fun and collaborative session.
This workshop is for school aged children up to 12 years of age. It is not recommended for children under the age of 4.
Please note children require the supervision of a parent or carer and will also require a ticket.

Have you experienced mental health challenges? Would you like to have a say in how mental health services are designed?
Self-Empower Now training is aimed at building people’s skills to empower them to take ownership of their mental health journey and become a “lived experience” representative.
Join Mental Health Lived Experience Tasmania (MHLET) for this free training session to learn how to boost the skills and capacity of Tasmanians, self-advocate in your recovery journey, and advocate for positive change in the mental health sector. Lunch is also provided.

Come along and meet author Beck Burns and give Tex a pat for story time and book signing. Read along with the family as they share their tales, inspiring travel, connection, and story telling. Reading will begin at 10:35am with the opportunity for questions and book signing afterwards. ISLAND seminar series: Does life stress increase dementia risk?
Dr Duncan Sinclair is a senior lecturer in the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre. Duncan’s work focusses on the molecular, cellular, genetic and lifestyle factors which determine how people respond to stressful events (such as natural disaster) as they age, and how these factors influence the emergence and progression of dementia.

SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY Mental Health First Aid
1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year.
This Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to provide initial support to someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Please note this course is not a therapy or support group, it’s an education course to learn how to give first aid to others.

Stroke Safe Information Session
A stroke occurs in Australia every 11 minutes. Stroke can happen to anyone at any age and has lasting impacts on the individual as well as the people around them.
Colin Howell experienced a stroke at the age of 67 while seemingly fit and healthy, prompting him to become a Stroke Safe Speaker for the Stroke Foundation so he can share his journey and promote the Stroke F.A.S.T message.
In Colin’s powerful and informative session held during National Stroke Week, he will cover what a stroke is, the impact a stroke can have, the signs of stroke so that you can save someone’s life, and what you can do to prevent a stroke (80% of strokes are preventable).

Rediscover the sounds you love with a quick free 15-minute hearing check* with Hearing Australia’s friendly team. At the hearing check, Hearing Australia staff will guide you through maintaining good hearing health and provide information on how to manage common hearing issues. Take the first step to start your journey towards better hearing.
Walk in and make your booking on the day in our wellness hub from 9:00am. To secure a hearing check, you must book with our team on the day.
* Only 15-minute hearing checks are free. Other services may attract charges/fees or may be subsidised for those eligible under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, to which conditions apply. A hearing check is a screening that helps identify people that may have hearing loss.
