1. These terms and conditions apply to the Promotion which is “Join or switch to combined Hospital and Extras at Agfest and you will receive six weeks free* and the waiver of the 2-, 3- and 6-month waiting periods+ on extras cover. PLUS go in the draw to win a $500 IGA Gift Card.
2. The Promotion commences at 12:00am AEST on Thursday 2nd May 2024 and ends at 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday 31st May 2024 (“Promotion Period”)
3. The Promotion is Eligible members who join a combined hospital, and extras cover with a join effective date during the Promotion Period at Agfest or as a follow up call and pay the first months’ premium will receive the following six weeks free and the waiver of the 2-, 3- and 6-month waiting periods on Extras cover. Extras waiting periods greater than 6 months still apply. All hospital waiting periods still apply. All Eligible members who meet the promotion conditions will also go into the draw to win a $500 IGA Gift Card.
4. Where an Eligible member transfers from another health insurer any annual limits used with the previous insurer may be deducted from your available limits.
5. Eligible member means either:
a. A new St Lukes member who:
i. takes out an eligible St Lukes hospital and extras cover at Agfest or as a follow up call with a start date that falls during the Promotion Period;
ii. Pays their first months’ premium;
iii. has not held St Lukes cover in the previous 12 months (excluding a dependant coming off their parent’s policy) and
iv. is an Australian Resident.
b. An existing St Lukes member who:
i. Upgrades their existing St Lukes cover in at least one of the following ways at Agfest or as a follow up call:
1. Upgrade an existing single hospital and extras cover to a family hospital and extras cover by adding a new partner/spouse. Promotion applies to the new partner/spouse only;
2. Upgrade an existing single hospital and extras cover to a single parent hospital and extras cover by adding a dependant. Promotion applies to one dependant only;
3. Upgrade an existing hospital only cover to a combined hospital and extras cover by adding extras cover. Promotion applies to the extras cover only; or
ii. Pays the first months’ premium before receiving the following 6 weeks free on the new component of the cover;
iii. has not held St Lukes cover in the previous 12 months (excluding a dependant coming off their parent’s policy)
iv. The Start Date of the upgrade falls during the Promotion Period; and
v. Is an Australian Resident.
6. In addition to all other conditions the following applies to the $500 IGA Gift Card draw:
a. Each Eligible member who is a Tasmanian resident will receive one entry into the draw to win a $500 IGA Gift Card.
b. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
c. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
d. The random entry drawn will win a $500 IGA Gift Card.
e. The draw will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Tuesday 11th June 2024 at St Lukes Head Office in Launceston TAS 7250. The winner will be notified by phone on Tuesday 11th June 2024.
f. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
g. The Promoter may conduct such further draws as are necessary if the prize remains unclaimed three months after the draw, subject to any directions given by a regulatory authority. If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at 10:00 am, on 11th September 2024 at the same place as the original draw. The winner will be notified by phone on 11th September 2024 .
h. Entrants into the draw consent to the Promoter displaying their name on the Promoters Facebook profile in the event they are a winner and in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
i. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the draw and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
j. Entry into the draw shall be deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
7. The Promotion cannot be combined with any other offer.
8. Employees of the Promoter are not eligible for the Promotion, this includes adding a partner/spouse or dependant to an employee’s cover.
9. Employees of Salveo Healthcare Limited (ACN 645 287 583) are not eligible for the Promotion, this includes adding a partner/spouse or dependant to an employee’s cover.
10. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify an individual’s eligibility for the promotion (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to determine whether an individual or individuals is not eligible for the promotion in accordance with these terms and conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
11. The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered or sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), arising out of or in any way connected with the competition and/or its prizes except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
12. Acceptance of the Promotion offer shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
13. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the Promotion. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or referrals or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this Promotion. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
