What is the Exercise Treatment Program?
The St Lukes Exercise Treatment Program provides a free, tailored exercise program for Tasmanians the program is available in a range of locations throughout the state.
The program is available for those aged 60 years or older, or of Aboriginal descent aged 45 years or older with a long-term health condition or at risk of developing one.
What does the program consist of?
The program aims to improve activity levels and quality of life for participants and consists of:
- Individually tailored exercises.
- Strength-based group exercise sessions.
- Provides individual assessments, tailored exercises, and healthy living education sessions.
- Completed in a supported environment and conducted with qualified health professionals via a safe and nonjudgmental approach.
