Superior Gold 1000

Superior Gold 1000 offers top private hospital cover with a $1000 excess. By selecting an excess, you can reduce your premium and save money.

This product will not exempt high income earners from having to pay the additional Medicare Levy Surcharge. Superior Gold 1000 provides you with cover for all the clinical category services.

You can also combine this product with a stand-alone extras cover to tailor your own combined hospital and extras package.

An excess of $200 per admission applies to same-day hospital treatment on Superior Gold 1000, up to the maximum excess of $1000 per person. The full excess of $1000 per person applies to overnight hospital treatment (less any excess that has already been applied to same day treatment for that person in the same calendar year).

Full cover for hospital accommodation and theatre fees in all contracted private hospitals and day-hospital facilities withinin Australia. (Medical certification is required after 35 continuous days in hospital).

Full cover for intensive and coronary care

Full cover for intensive and coronary care in all contracted private hospitals subject to clinical category. (Medical certification is required).

Minimum benefit guaranteed for private patients in public hospitals.

Benefits will be paid at no less than the minimum benefit when you elect to be treated as a private patient in a public hospital within Australia.
