St.LukesHealth recognised on international scale

St.LukesHealth has been recognised on an international scale for its Certificate IV in General Insurance.

The qualification which was only launched in March this year, has been awarded Platinum Winner for Best Learning and Development Project – Social/Collaboration and Gold Winner for Best Talent – Learning and Development Team at the LearnX Live Awards.

Developed by St.LukesHealth, the Certificate IV in General Insurance allows those within the health insurance sector to study specialist capabilities in key topics such as working in the insurance industry, product knowledge and customer service and selling skills.

“Developing the Certificate IV in General Insurance was critical if St.LukesHealth, and the health insurance sector as a whole, wanted to attract and retain the right people,” St.LukesHealth People and Culture general manager Barbara Brown said.

“It is important to develop our workforce capabilities – that is with the right skills, knowledge and culture - to support our staff to ensure they deliver on the organisation’s goals well into the future.

“In recent years, our new employees have completed a full qualification program under traineeship arrangements as there is currently no national qualification specific to the health insurance industry.

“We are extremely proud of this new qualification. We are excited to deliver the most relevant training for our high performing team and develop initiatives that builds on their capabilities and knowledge so that we can continue to deliver exceptional service to our members.”

The LearnX Live Awards is an international awards program that recognises multiple fields within talent management across the corporate, education and public-service sectors.

Each year the awards uncover projects and solutions that deliver best practice and business value.

St.LukesHealth will be presented with the awards at a ceremony in Melbourne in October.
