Unlike previous years, private health insurers are no longer required to send members a copy of their rebate statement for tax purposes.
This was a legislative change from the recent Australian Government Private Health Insurance reforms.
While these rebate statements can be found on the MyGov website, St.LukesHealth will provide members with a rebate statement if they request one after July 1.
Statements can be emailed to members and will be password protected. Members can also get their rebate statement through our Online Member Services portal if they have registered for this service.
Due to the Australian Government's Private Health Insurance Reforms, those members who are currently covered under our Superior Gold 1000 product (formerly called Hospital 1000) are no longer exempt from the Medicare Levy Surcharge.
This may be a good time to review your policy to see if there is another product that is more suitable for your lifestyle and financial needs.
For more information or to request a rebate statement, visit www.stlukes.com.au or call our Customer Care Centre on 1300 651 988.
